Sunday Mornings for Children & Young People

Sunday School

All ages meet together for the first part of Sunday morning worship, after which anyone aged 0-16 is welcome to join our children's and young people's groups. Our groups aim to:

We welcome and value all children – visitors and regulars alike.

Crèche 0-2 years

A space for little ones who find the services too long! Parents/carers are welcome to stay if they prefer.

Bubbles 2-4 years

Pre-school children learn about God and grow to know Jesus in their favourite ways.

Mini Zone

Splash Infant School Age (4 years-Year 1)

Activities relate to the everyday experiences and interests of this age group.

Kid Zone

Xstream (Year 2-Year 6)

Aims to engage with the children's sense of adventure and their curiosity about life and to encourage them to grow in their faith.

Y-Zone

GRID Age 11-16

We aim to give 11-16's the opportunity to continue exploring faith in God and to develop a relationship with Him, recognising that they face many changes and challenges at this time in their lives.

The older Sunday School children The 'Gridlets' learn about faiths and food

The children often participate in the service before going to their own groups, by joining in quizzes, acting out stories and so on. At Christmas time the children take part in presenting the nativity – always in an interesting and original way!

In order to safeguard all children who take part in church activities we have a Child Protection Policy in place. This is based on the "Safe to Grow" document published by the Baptist Union.
